Monday 20th April, 2015: The New National Party (NNP) wishes to thank the organizers, delegates, supporters, and all other participants who made yesterday’s NNP Convention and Rally, held in Westerhall, St David, such a success.
A special thank you to the National Security Forces, who ensured that law and order was upheld throughout the Day’s activities.
Under the theme, “NNP Celebrating 30 Years in Service to Grenada with Unity, Visionary Leadership and Progress”, the day’s events started with the NNP Convention, held at Westerhall Secondary School.
The election of the Executive Members of the Party was also held with the notable changes being the election of Dr. Clarice Modeste-Curwen as Deputy Chairperson, Senator Peter David as Assistant General Secretary, Senator Simon Stiell as Public Relations Officer, and three new Floor Members, Thomas Griffith, Bartholomew Baptiste, and Tafawa John. All other positions remained unchanged.
NNP supporters later turned out in their thousands to attend the largest national rally since the February 2013 General Election, packing the Westerhall Playing Field. The energised masses listened to political leader, Dr. the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell, and his NNP Team provide updates on the Economy, Housing, Healthcare, Sports, Youth Development, Tourism, and Agriculture.
The NNP continues to deliver on its promises as it moves forward in the development of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique for the betterment of ALL.
